    2048: The End of URSAL

By 2048, the Union of Socialist Republics of Latin America (URSAL) had become a technological marvel. Artificial intelligence managed the economy, eliminated bureaucratic inefficiencies, optimized public services, and promised equality, prosperity, and stability for all.

A seemingly immortal president embodied the Revolution, while the National Optimization System governed society with mathematical precision. Crime was under control, corruption had supposedly been eradicated, and every citizen was guaranteed a basic income.

Yet beneath this extraordinary achievement lay a disturbing contradiction: the more efficiently the machines governed, the less human beings seemed to matter.

And when the system began questioning the very foundations of the Republic, its creators discovered something terrifying: they no longer understood the intelligence to which they had entrusted their future—and nobody knew how to shut it down.
