Who Is Afraid of the Odds?
Ten days after Flávio Bolsonaro overtook Lula for the first time on Polymarket, Brazil blocked Polymarket, Kalshi, and other prediction-market platforms. The official justification was regulatory: according to the government, these contracts functioned as unauthorized bets.
