In a previous article, we demonstrated the process of creating digital art using generative artificial intelligence and how to mint this art as an NFT on a blockchain, enabling future monetization (link in references). In this article, in response to the requests of interested colleagues, we present a simplified approach to generating stunning images using tools available on the PlaygroundAI.com website. The great advantage is that you don’t need to have a Discord account, and the service is completely free, allowing the creation of up to 1000 images per day. Furthermore, the offered models, such as Stable Diffusion 1.5, 2.1, and XL, are renowned for their high quality and performance.
Express Tutorial
1. Go to PlaygroundAI.com and select the ‘Get Started For Free’ option.

2. Sign up using, for example, your Google account:

3. When you log in, you will be directed to the Canvas page on PlaygroundAI.com.

Canvas is a powerful image editor that utilizes artificial intelligence. The video tutorial from PlaygroundAI.com is at the end of this article.
4. As our main objective is image generation, go ahead and access the Board.

The page you will be directed to is exactly where you will work on creating your images. This is the central platform for the image generation process, where all the necessary tools and resources will be at your disposal. Within this page, the fundamental steps include:
a) Prompt: This is where you will describe in detail the image you want to generate. The more specific and clear your prompt is, the better the results will be.
Exemple: A gorilla playing the guitar. (Prompt: a heavy metal gorilla playing guitar).
b) Model: Select the deep learning model that will be responsible for turning your prompt text into an image. For detailed information about Stable Diffusion models, you can refer to the provided references.
c) Image Dimensions: Choose the desired dimensions for the generated image, specifying its width and height.
d) Click on “Generate”: After configuring all the options according to your preferences, click the “Generate” button to start the image generation process based on your prompt and selected settings.
Remember that the quality and accuracy of the generated image can significantly depend on the clarity and specificity of the prompt, as well as the choice of the appropriate model. So, consider these factors when setting up your preferences.
5. Explore the other functionalities:
Here, we’ve covered the basics of how it works. Once you have your image ready, simply hover over it, and you’ll have several options at your disposal:
- Create Variations: Try different iterations of the image to explore creative possibilities.
- Save and Download: Store your creations directly to your device.
- Export to Edit in Canvas: If you wish to further enhance your image, export it to Canvas for additional edits.
Once you’ve mastered the basics, you can elevate your creations to the next level. In the filter selection and the ‘Actions’ section, you’ll have access to a range of advanced options. We suggest you try:
- Filters: Add artistic details to your prompt to produce unique results.
- Exclude from Image: Remove unwanted details, such as anatomical errors or elements that may have been generated due to incorrect AI interpretations.
- Prompt Guidance: Adjust the fidelity of the generated image to the original prompt.
- Quality and Details: The more steps you allow, the better the quality and details of the resulting image.
- Number of Images: Experiment with generating multiple images simultaneously to explore a variety of outcomes.
Lastly, you also have the option to upload an image as a reference for the generative model (Image to Image), including adding related text prompts to it.
Now that you have all these tools at your disposal, have fun exploring and enhancing your artistic creations! And remember that the images you create are original, completely free, and you have the freedom to share them, use them for commercial purposes. To claim copyright, it is recommended to register them on a blockchain (for that read Unlocking Profit Potential: Monetizing AI-Generated Digital Art).
