I’m an associate professor in the Physics Department at UFMG since 2004. I received my Bachelor’s in Physics from UFMG in 1992 and my PhD in Physics from UFMG in 1998, working on electron paramagnetic resonance. I worked at the University of Paderborn as an exchange PhD student from 1993-1996 and at CDTN/CNEN in Belo Horizonte, improving the color of gem minerals through heat treatments and irradiation. This work continued at UFMG in 2001 and 2002 and to this day is one of my favorite areas of research. From 2002-2004, I was a visiting researcher at the University of Paderborn. My research interests include Condensed Matter Physics, Nanomaterials, Mineralogy and Electronic Paramagnetic Resonance. In my free time, I enjoy reading about Artificial Intelligence, Natural History, History of Science and Philosophy. I also enjoy fishing with my family as well as building/painting airplane models. I started AI-Talks.org in december 2022 as a holiday project. Writing and editing posts here has been a great exercise for me to organize my thoughts and ideas. It required me to spend a lot of time carefully considering my viewpoints and presenting them in as clear and concise a manner as possible. Eventually, I learned prompt engineering, and it made my life easier when dealing with a Large Language Model like ChatGPT. It’s not just about asking questions – it’s about understanding how to structure the input and interpret the output. And what is most important is having ideas and guiding the AI to make them understandable for the readers. Prof. Dr. Sรฉrgio Veloso Brant Pinheiro

I got my medical degree from Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in 1998. In 2001, I completed my medical residency in Pediatrics at the Clinics Hospital of UFMG, following my training in Pediatric Nephrology. Encouraged by my family and friends, I pursued a Ph.D in Physiology and Pharmacology at UFMG in the same year. I completed my Ph.D in 2004 and have been an associate professor in pediatrics and nephrology at Faculty of Medicine of UFMG since 2005 and at Faculty of Medical Sciences of Minas Gerais since 2019. My research focus is on the Renin-Angiotensin System, hypertension, and kidney diseases. Regarding my interests, I am particularly passionate about Pink Floyd, Dystopian literature, and Batman comic books. In my leisure time, I enjoy cooking, although my brother believes he is better at it. Unfortunately, I do not have much free time, but I intend to become increasingly involved with AI in the future. Hi there! I’m a physicist by training, having obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Physics from UFMG in 1983. After graduation, I started my career as a researcher in Meteorology at CETEC (Fundaรงรฃo Centro Tecnolรณgico de Minas Gerais). However, I eventually shifted my focus to the field of Technology and Information, where I worked as a software developer. My expertise in this field led me to develop a complete cryptography software and chat for smartphones that was compatible with both Windows and Android platforms. In 2001, I further deepened my knowledge in business administration by obtaining my Executive MBA from IBMEC. Over the years, I have established myself as a successful entrepreneur in the field of Information Technology. Currently, I’m venturing into the world of autonomous drone technology, where I aim to create long-range drones with custom design and construction. Also, I’m proud to say that I’m an old cousin of Maurรญcio and Sรฉrgio. E-mail: cesar.bremer@gmail.com Instagram: @cesarbpinheiro Facebook: Cesar Pinheiro Twitter: @CesarBPinheiro
